I'm seeing lots of positives with bulb on here, I'm due end of contract with BG beginning of July.

I'm currently paying £228 a month combined (I raised to clear a shock debit due) and have taken to inputting my own readings months to save the aforementioned debit again.
Last month we used £88 combined !

I've seen on the bulb Facebook page ?? alot of complaints from people saying it was low but then price hikes, are these just people that get suckered in or in general what to expect
Bulb make it very clear that they offer a variable rate deal not a fixed one so it is quite possible that the rates will change but the latest change was a reduction so it's not always an increase.

I've found them very efficient & considerably cheaper than my previous suppliers with them handling everything if you switch. As has been said they will pay any exit fees, you can adjust your monthly payment online, you can have a SMETS 2 Smart meter if you want (or not if you don't, no threats or hassle to have one) & they run a popular referral scheme so you can get money for roping in all of your friends & relatives. Submit your usage every month & they'll tell exectly how much you have used & what your account balance is. They do really seem to running a good online business.

Speaking of codes, here's mine! www.bulb.me/julians9197

Looking into this as our British Gas tariff is up for renewal. Can the tariff go up and down? Are they a decent company to deal with generally? Also Am I doing something wrong here, the referral links show £50 still?

Yes, it's avariable tariff so it can swing both ways. No company is perfect but I & many others have found them very efficient: the quality of customer service is a key requirement for me & I've found it good. The referral goes up to £75 just for next week only.

They are a great company to deal with for me so far.

Far far cheaper than the company I left (Scottish Power)

Clear pricing and billing.Easy to see your usage and adjust payments up or down at will.

No negatives so far for me.

Also now in the Bulb club. unfortunately - I didn't see this thread before otherwise would have used a referral code. hey ho!

Looking forward to my rebate from EON as they always over charge.

Am I right in thinking I can change my payment amounts? I could then drop them in summer when we use significantly less and raise them in winter - sounds so obvious!

oh - obligatory referral code.....thanks

They have been st for me! Customer service is absolutely overwhelmed at the moment, and they can't cope. This suggests to me that I'm not the only one having issues with them.

What do you need them to do?

Well, I haven't had a single statement or bill from them since last year, despite them having the meter readings. This stems from when they fked up the meter serial numbers, despite me telling them when providing the opening readings. So at this point I don't know where I stand regarding balance, which pisses me off.

To answer your question, I need them to sort my billing out.

Can you get the referral credit more than once?

I signed up with Bulb over a year ago and got the bill credit but have moved elsewhere (Peoples Energy) and wondered if I moved back would I get another credit?

I’ve switched to them on both my previous rental and also my current house. Can’t fault the service and by far the cheapest.

Our first month’s bill cost the same as what NPower charged for the initial 14 days supply before bulb took over.

I’d also messed up one of my initial meter readings so emailed them with the correction. As it took one day longer than their stated response time, they credited another £10 to my account!

If anyone is feeling kind our referral code is https://www.bulb.me/emmag1271

I've always found them extremely helpful on the telephone, and I like the simplicity of their website, everything is in plain English.

I left Bulb when they started putting prices up; have just switched back, using a referral code, and am currently trying to work out where the referral has gone so I shall update and let you know!

Oh no, what's this? Another referral link? Surely not...

£75 credit before 18 June

I think it is hard to get a decent picture of what Bulb are like with all the 5* "amazing company, here's my referral link" reviews, but in the year I've been with them I've found them efficient and quick to communicate with and still pretty much the cheapest. I haven't asked for a smart meter though!

Its a giant energy company pyramid scheme! hehe
