Had a few over the years, spent between £100-£700. This is the best I’ve had for patios and car cleaning.

Based on all the good things I hear on PH, I bought a Nilfisk C120 from Amazon today: £84.99 including delivery.

I have promised myself a new one for the last couple of years but today was the last straw. My old Draper jet wash, whilst it still puts out a good strong flow, struggles to hold the hose pipe on to the pipe attachment. Also the hose screw thread is mostly buggered too...

Too be fair I've had it for many, many a year and it was only 60 quid new, way back when...

Just last week picked up a Karcher K4 Compact and so far so good, ideal for car cleaning, small enough to store easily and plenty powerful enough to clean the patio and some brickwork. £150 next day from John Lewis, cheaper than amazon at the time.

Bought a Nilfisk about 6 years ago after multiple failed Karchers.

Paid about £90 for it with various attachments. Still going strong.

I think they use metal impellers rather than plastic in the Karchers.
Same for me. My Karcher (can’t remember the model but not the cheapest) lasted about 3 years. Replaced with a ( cheaper) Nilfisk which, 5 years on, is still going well. Wouldn’t buy another Karcher.

Also, their after-sales service was abysmal when our window vac failed.

Likewise, re the Karchers. I bought two and both failed after 3 or 4 years. So I bought a Makita, it's been great, I had a slight problem with the non-return valve and Makita in Milton Keynes repaired it free of charge even though it was already 3 years old. Very pleased.

I’ve got a Nilfisk c135, bought 2 yrs ago in a crazy sale from Amazon, it was about £100.

Excellent bit of kit with huge amount of power. Hose is, as others have said, a right PITA though and although there’s a reel on it it’s basically pointless.

I’d recommend it!

I have a Titan electric chainsaw that is great, and a branch shredder which has had a lot of abuse without complaint.

My Karcher has died (haven't used it since last autumn, stored in a dry but unheated garden shed, won't turn on).

Will likely be going to Screwfix if I can't figure out how to mend it. Do all these manufacturers take the same wand/accessory connectors? I have a bunch of Karcher stuff that would be useful to keep (patio cleaner, drain clearing hose, etc.).

No, rather irritatingly they all seem to be slightly different.

Keep hearing about the abysmal service.

Karcher is getting lower on my list. The K2 was ok but it just kept having small issues.

Sounds very promising reading the reviews. Crazy cheap as well compared to others.

I got a decent 5 years out of my K2 before the pressure was starting to drop off. Turns out it wasn't the Karcher and it was a blockage in the hose reel.

Still, I now own a K4 and a K2 - glad I upgraded - the K4 is far quieter, feels more sturdy and has a smidge more pressure that sometimes I felt the K2 needed for doing the patio.

Thanks for that mate.

Karcher seems to be getting a number of bad reviews and on here as well.

Saying that most as getting bad reviews due to some reason or another.

Had my K2 compact for years, still going. Its only done car wash duties though as I didn't have a patio until recently.

Must say the more I read about the Titan the more impressed.

Hate to say it I am normally someone who likes to spend more to get something that I feel would do a better job but this unit sounds impressive

TITAN TTB669PRW 130BAR PRESSURE WASHER 1.8KW 240V

360Ltr/hr Max. Flow Rate

Seems more powerful than most near the same price range. You would need to get a Kacher or Nilfisk over £150 to get close to the performance.

Anyone else bought one? Reviews are not so easy to find but feedback looks good.

I've just bought (like literally an hour ago so not yet received) a Nilfisk C125.7-6 for £130 from Cleanstore with a few accessories to make cleaning the car, drive and garden stuff/bikes easier.

I haven't had a need for a pressure washer since moving into my own home six years ago but the drive was done in late 2017 in blocks so will need something to help keep it clean especially the north facing side which always used to get mossy & green when it was concrete with a tarmac skim. I also used to use the local hand car wash but since they seem to care less and less every time I want to start cleaning mine and my wife's car at home.

I'll report back with findings.

Nice one. That does look a great deal.

I have just bought the Titan so wish me luck laugh

The temptation to go with a brand name was huge but here goes nothing.

Will report back as well. Be interesting to see what we both think.

Well, the Titan pressure washing appeared today and decided to fix it up before using it at the weekend.

Must say for a cheaper machine the build quality compared to the 3 years old Kacher K2 is night and day. I was worried the quality would be poor but it's on another level.

Now just need to wait to see what the performance is like but so far so good.

I picked up one of those Titan pressure washers on the back of reading this thread on Tuesday.
Must say, it feels far better quality than my next door neighbours Karcher.
Will report back in the performance after the weekend when I do the patio.
