Yes, very simple, plug in, charge, connect to Wifi, press clean. The hoover is a a bit picky about where its dock is - it didn’t like our first option, and refused to go home again. Might have been the first sign of madness, I will have to check with the new one.
So I shouldn't tell the mop to go now while the hoover charges, as it didn't finish its first round of the house?

I've taken a bit of a punt on a Roidme Eve Plus robovac / mop with self emptying bin. It's currently on pre-order from MyRobotCentre for £299 which is the cheapest I've seen a vac with that feature set. I had been looking at a Roborock S5 Max, but availability and decent prices had dried up recently.

https://www.myrobotcenter.co.uk/en_gb/roidmi-eve-p...

Not that many reviews on YouTube, but from what I've seen it's pretty good. Roidme is part of the Xiaomi group which includes Roborock, so it's not entirely an unknown brand. Will report back here once it has arrived and I have a chance to test it.

This evening the mop told me after 90 mins that there was no pad attached. Tried disconnecting and reattaching but same result. Had to change it for one of the disposable pads. Not sure what’s happened there.

Hoover is docked but is saying the bin might be full?! After one clean?! I’ll have a look at it tomorrow but so far for both brand new units to be anything less than 100% is a surprise.

Has the hoover unloaded the bin? Normally as it docks, it waits for about 10 seconds, then there is a roar of the motor that empties the hoover bin into the charging station bin. You can trigger this manually on the app if you need to, we never have needed to. I suspect the message is about the hoover bin - there may be something stuck in the “entrance” of the bin. This is definitely a problem in the early days - the robots delve into the corners of the room (and under the sofa) where you never actually hoover normally and pull out all sorts of weird stuff.

Never had a problem with the mop pads - we just stick a washable one on every morning and bung the filthy one in the wash,

Yeah I think you're right, it might have picked up some abnormal bits. Manually told it to empty and all fine now

I'll try putting the washable pad back on later on and see if it recognises it again. Might just be it got too wet or something, as the Mrs said it nudged the cat's water bowl.

Other than that, the mop took about 3 hours, but the floors do seem nice and clean!! Looking forward to getting it all on a regular routine and mapped out properly. I think we're onto a winner.

When you mop a floors manually, you clean the mop regularly in the bucket. But the robo mop doesn't clean the mop pad - does that seem to be a problem?

I am certainly interested in getting one, but I just wondered how good the mopping is. Thanks guys!

I thought that myself. I think because you may well set the robot off quite a few times per week then it's really just keeping a pretty clean floor very clean. I wouldn't set it to work on a floor that hasn't been touched for 6 months and expect it to be gleaming.

This is based on owning it for 24 hours so far haha.
I think you can tell it to concentrate on certain areas if you find you've got a really grubby section, but in general you'll probably clear up any spills you make at the time rather than get a robot out to do it anyway.

That makes sense - when I get one I will mop the floor manually first then let the robots loose.

Not sure what your house setup is like, but if your bedroom is quite well insulated from downstairs noise you might get away with setting the mop off overnight as it is much quieter than the hoover.

Eufy 11's charging dock has died today, a bit of a pain in the arse but at least we can still charge it manually. May need to invest in a new machine soon

Ordered the Eufy G30 today.
Whoever sent me the discount link thanks very much but I couldn't use it as they don't work in conjunction with their current offers!
Managed to get an extra 7.7% cashback through topcashback though. So about £230 in total.

Itll be interesting to see the guidance work as most have LIDAR or a camera whereas the G30 uses something a little more crude.

You can do a big loop in my house from kitchen-loung-hall-diningroom-kitchen so it'll be interesting as to wether it finishes a room before moving on and if it runs low on power before finishing will it learn that there are 2 possible ways back to the charging station? I can see it going the long way back.

I like the feature of it charging and then going back to finish where it left off though. Means as the battery starts to suffer in the future it'll still do its job.

Fail. Euro to UK plug had separated, service resumed.

Let me know how it does, I’m thinking about the g30 hybrid.

Bloody robot mop won't recognise the reusable wet mop pad. It was fine at first with the one that came with it, then suddenly stopped recognising it. Bought two new ones from Amazon, and they also aren't recognised, but the dry pads that came with them are fine. Any ideas anyone?!

Irobot support. Pretty responsive, and if something is busted, they’ll replace it. They can also pull the logs from the machine, so an see what errors it is chucking.

Bought the Roborock S7 from Rainforest Germany.

It’s really good so far, set it up, turned it on and that’s it.

Have not tried the mop yet as the floor is still full of junk.

Nice one thanks, I've logged it with them so will see what happens.

I cancelled my euffy order and purchased a robomax s5. I’m pretty impressed so far. I’ll see how I get on and once the s7s get more established, I would get one with the bin.

Just got a Eufy G30, seems pretty good.

For the scheduling the app only seems to allow setting a start time, does it just do the entire area at that time?

Currently have the Eufy 30c but I think we need to change. It's great at what it does, but we've just had a new dining table delivered and it now manages to get stuck between the chair legs.

While I'm looking, I seem to recall some of them could detect dog mess and avoid rather than smear it around. Our dog was ill recently and it was only by good fortune that the hoover had done it's daily clean before it happened. God knows what the house would have looked like if it had been the other way round yuck

Is there a hoover that can avoid such a thing or did I dream it?!
