why the dislike for bungalows?

Interesting, this one.
My missus and I currently live in separate flats. We are both used to living on one level (since I left home, I've only lived in one two-story house). we are actively looking for a bungalow aged 32 and 38. We prefer the flexibility of being able to use the rooms as we want, and I have listed a double garage quite high on the list of priorities, this is more likely with a bungalow than a house.
