After a couple of weeks downtime, while steel to the correct spec was produced, things leapt ahead today as half a dozen chaps got stuck in.

Steel in and roof joists in place. We have all we need to finish on site too. smile

Nice project, are you going two single doors or a double?

Any particular reason? A single double door would be easier for getting cars in and out

Maybe I'm not explaining myself clearly.

Our garage is to have two sets of wooden doors, either side of a concealed steel upright.

Here's an earlier iteration of the plan. Since then, the window has been deleted and the door sizes increased, as suggested by a poster on this thread. So, the gap between the sets of doors has decreased.

There's plenty of hard standing to enable adequate vehicular maouvreiseration!!!

Dark weatherboarding looks good smile Must be frustrating having to pause your build - I'm very glad I had my garage built last year, what with all the rain this year and now being locked down!

It is frustrating, especially as the interior boarding is open to the elements.

However, in the whole scheme of things, this minor hiccup is of no importance whatsoever.

Maybe you could get some big tarps to throw over it and nail down to give some temporary protection?

Yesterday a tiler arrived. He completed 90% of the roof.

I'm so glad I went for 6.5m x 6.0m in the end. It's the perfect size for our needs.

The roof is, to all intents and purposes, finished. I thought I'd get up on the scaffolding to take a few photos before the scaffolding is removed midweek.
