Haven't read through the whole thread so hopefully this hasn't already been answered, but how are you finding the size, is it big enough or do you think you should have gone bigger? I'm hoping to build a similar sized one myself but for one car plus workbench rather than 2 cars, I wanted to go 6m x 5m to get the maximum 30m² allowed under permitted development but might have to be more like 5.2m x 5m and I'm not sure it'll be big enough.

Hi.

I'm pleased that I've gone for 6.5 x 6.0.

Sadly, due to a wayward landscaper, the hard standing to the garage is not complete. So, I've not had the chance to park anything in there.

It's only then that I can decide definitively whether the extra space is worthwhile.

Finally got around to measuring the internal dimensions of the garage. It's 6.05m wide x 5.80m deep.

Contractor's vehicle gives an idea of scale. I'm so pleased that I did not compromise with the size of the garage in the end.

Nope. I'll stick the Panda in there tomorrow.

First car into the unfinished garage. A Panda Cross.

Plenty of space.

Are you going to paint the interior? It would make a huge difference.

Great looking garage, I want something similar to this.
I have a double garage at the moment which is 5.5m by 4.5m and its OK size wise at the moment but I would like a bigger one.

My current garage is falling down due to a poorly installed concrete slab!

Can't wait to see what your garage looks like when the doors are installed.

I'm going to board it out and paint. The Ecotile flooring arrived this morning. It's a mix of dark grey and red tiles which will be laid out in a checkerboard style.

Would you mind sharing the cost of the Ecotile flooring, Blib?

We're a couple of months away from our own garage going up, and frankly there's a bewildering array of flooring options hehe

PM is fine if you would prefer!

£890 for 36 square metres, including "free" ramps and £50 delivery.

They also quoted £300 to lay them.
