Which is why many of them now, apart from Tempur, are not actually memory "foam" anymore but actually a gel.

Emma, eve etc. do both memory foam matresses and 'normal' foam.

I don't like the memory foam ones, but the 'original' mattresses are great (in my view).

We have an Emma Hybrid Mattress and its by far the best mattress we have ever had, couldn't recommend it enough!

I tried the top spec Emma one, returned it within the week.

Horribly hard and uncomfortable for me, partner not as fussy as me and didn't mind it, but she's a front sleeper so think that hardness suits better.

Stuck to another one of the Next mattresses which was a million times comfier for me.

We have an Emma in the marital bed - I now sleep in the spare room. Weirdly, the first 6 months were fine, but now I find myself awake for long periods if I don't migrate. Heat and shape both being problems.
