True, but....

It’s lovely in terms of the house but that road can be absolutely catastrophic traffic wise!

8m to possibly not be able to leave your house half the day? No way.
This. I go to Kew Gardens regualrly and park about 50m away from that house, the road it's on is horrible even by London standards (well, for a single carrigeway road).

In addition to that you are right underneath one of the approaches to Heathrow, and I have found plane noise hard to tune out. Road and jet noise? Would be a tough sell for me, no matter how nice the house is.

I love this but it's monumentally expensive for what it is and where it is I think.

It's just a few hundred yards from where the South Circ' peels off to Mortlake and then the Kew Road is a link into Richmond. It's a constant traffic jam.

get your point on location, know the area fairly well too, but other than that I prefer everything about the Kew place vs Richmond. Bigger and cheaper but Richmond is expensive area so predictable

you do manage to zone out plane noise about (was in Putney for 20 years) and Richmond is on same flight path as Kew of course.

plonk that Kew place in a nice cul-de-sac in an area I like in SW London and that would be my perfect home (until I decide to move out of London)

Ah, different way to the way we used to venture. Used to drink in the Tudor Close but Sam Smiths suined it.

I think the dogs would. Wife-beast less so, soggy mutts traipsing in and out all the time.

I'm not very upto date but wtf is that TV size?

Not for me either. The lake’s a nice feature, but the budget hotel architecture and tacky entrance gates/railings etc are big negatives for me. And the adjacent council gravel store doesn’t help.

On land that was once, presumably, the railway station and good yard.
