Nick Burnham did a video tour and I reckon its a pretty good bit of real estate pawn. Nick has a youtube channel under Aquaholic.

It's nice, but that's a lot of money, especially seeing that about half of the pics seem to have been taken on a potato.
It's the double-double-barrelled Sales Agent premium.

Lovely spot, but they don't mention the chain ferry just outside that'll be clanking along day in day out smile Though I think I'd actually quite like that - and the steam trains of course! cool

I kind of get the agent taking a few pics on their phone for a £100k flat, but surely at this level they would get a pro in to take them?

Years ago the owner made his own "raft" from old windsurf boards and bits and bobs to ferry building supplies over from Dartmouth to save money on the ferry.

It'd be a no from me, mostly due to having the higher ferry on your doorstep with all the cars waiting outside your house.

It would be a pisser having to wait in the ferry queue just to get to your own house. Also, is that a railway passing right next to the front windows?

Yes, however it is "only" the steam railway, fairly regular passes in season, but not at night.

Lovely house, but the agent is a moron: 'Fennel House is a handsome detached Georgian four-bedroomed country retreat set eloquently in over 3/4 acre with outbuildings, occupying a private position'.

Say what...?

Unusually for a Georgian building, the principal elevation is asymmetrical. The porch is a bit nasty, but otherwise it’s lovely.

Georgian was a period in history, not purely an architectural style. Not all Georgian houses are 'Georgian' houses.

Or something...

Love the dining corridor to the kitchen, not sure why it has a chimney though!

I'm fairly sure we've had this before. Nice building, I'm not absolutely sure about the kitchen extension, at least it has a proper roof with house matching tiles. I'm sure in the flesh it would be lovely.

£10m. It's come down a lot, it was priced at £45m in 2014. It's also on the "At Risk" register - https://www.thesteepletimes.com/opulence-splendour...

"buyers need to remember this – parts of this crumbling building, most notably the major state rooms, have not been used since 1947."

Or something...
Historic England list extract says it’s a “Farmhouse, now house. Early-mid C19 with some alterations and additions of C20” that makes it Georgian or late Georgian in architectural terms.

Or something... wink
