Former home of the Parker-Bowleses.

Why so few photo's and even less of the interiors - must need an awful lot spent on it to bring up to a modern standard.
From what you can see and read of that it looks fantastic, plus you can’t beat an “enchanting lady’s garden” which perhaps is what attracted Charlie to Camilla.

How much do you reckon the annual running bill would be on this?

Heating/electricity bills alone must be £100K or more, need a couple of full-time gardeners, housekeeper and assistant etc.

I'm guessing £300K+

Obviously need another fund for major costs; replacement boilers, redecoration, roof repairs etc.

And the rest 1.0m plus, would be my initial guess

That doesn't look like enough land to run the property. There's a ratio of acres per bedroom, I cannot recall what is, but it's going to be a lot more than 92 to run that.

Too big for me, rather mad interior, but I think lots to like.
If you ever wanted a chandelier and couldn't find one; that's because the owners bought them all....

It's incoherent (for want of a better term).

Outside:

Big, period white-painted pub like building - check
Multiple recent ad hoc additions - check
Ample outside hard surfaced seating. - check
Low maintenance plantings - check.

Inside:

Funky clashing wallpaper - check
Stag horns above open fire - check
Lots of stripped wood - check
"Portraits" of anthropomorphised dogs - check
Painted panelling - check
Absolute lack of any discernible theme throughout - check.

Yep, I could imagine that belonging to a celebrity chef as his most recent eatery.

Its current being used as offices, hence the kitchen. That, and bathrooms need redoing.

My cousin used to live on Clara Drive, handy for the airport and in itself a nice area, it's tucked away off the main road and is surrounded by woodland - it's just a bit too close to Bradford/far from motorways for me. This house appears to be closer to the road as well.

The house itself could be lovely - no-one's stripped out the character and done an identikit 'design' job on it (yet).

Not keen on Clara drive myself. The one I linked is central calverley and in quite a private position.

Doesnt matter now as it was best and final offer by 3pm today and my offer, despite starting with an 8, wasnt enough unfortunately.

Aside from that attic room that looks like a cheap hair salon, I quite like this one

Very nice indeed. Looks value, and everybody needs a band-stand. Pity it's listed though.

That's nicely done, ex the attic room as you say. A grand house in miniature. Wrong side of Worc for the world, hence price, I suppose.
