There are literally 100’s of properties similar to that here (Andalusia)... views are different, but white concrete boxes with lots of glass are standard fare.

This ones just up the road from me... think it’s just sold through another agent.

Just doesn't have a 'spark' for me, unlike the Dutch one of a week or two ago. Garden design by Mr T Tubby, I note.

Thomas Messenger was a Victorian manufacturer of bespoke glasshouses, all the stately homes and landed gentry had ranges of them all heated and supplying fruit and flowers to the 'big house'. A 'messenger' glasshouse is now regarded as the Rolls Royce of victorian glasshouses and quite rightly deserve to be lovingly restored - as many of them are. The photos of the one at Hastings do not provide enough detail to be sure it is by Messenger but certainly in the style of. As the property is listed, no doubt the glasshouse will be restored, the vine correctly pruned and producing grapes again.
Thanks thumbup
Yup. beer

Once my lottery win comes in, I'll invite C70GT to come have a look around after I've moved in...

If anyone watched Jonathan Creek, all the murderers and eccentric retired authors used to live in houses like that.

Excellent...

I'll just need to write a book, the retirement would only be semi- I'm still young ish and wouldn't want to stagnate. The orangery looks like a nice writing room.

This caught my eye. Lovely location in the Peak District, currently used as a guest house so needs a bit of a rehash etc. It's got a great air of spookiness:

That's a sizeable place for the price! Pretty much all the bedrooms are en-suite, which is great. Surprised the kitchen doesn't look a bit more commercial, though?

Sea views? My villa is a damn sight closer to the water with better sea views than that.

That is rather nice, and doesn’t seem stupidly priced.

I know that part of the world is expensive but wow, that's effectively Zone 2 London money at £1,000 / sqft. Is there some development angle we are all missing? It's not as if the interior fit-out is particularly high spec.

Struggling to see how it can be worth that!

Round my way, you can get 12 bedrooms, 23 acres including paddocks and a pool, and still have enough change for a good Ferrari 488:
