Those photos make it seem overlooked on all sides is that why "only" £1.5m guide price?

Satellite View seems to show some overlooking, but not what I'd consider a problem! Lots of large, very mature shrubs and trees.

May well be why it 'seems cheap' - for me (living fewer than 20 miles from it), I'd really not be put off but know others are more finicky when it comes to spending a mil and a half!

It doesn't seem especially cheap for 0.5 acres / 2,500 sqft. For roughly the same price you can get more garden and more house within walking distance of Haslemere station which, unlike Witley, has fast trains. You would have to really want to live in a 17th century property - clearly the current owners don't as they have basically moved out of the old house and into the modern annexe!

I think this is only the second time I've posted in this thread. What's the verdict?

It's a Huf, so a hard no from me.

I like Hufs - not keen on being that close to a cliff though

A definite yes from me! Much better than these old codgers houses that people keep posting.

I still don't understand why you'd design the backdrop to your infinity pool to be your neighbours' gardens. smile

Judging by the mismatched styling and decor, I don't think the owners put a whole lot of thought into the place. Sure furniture can be changed and the out of place Aga removed form the kitchen but it all seems a bit thrown together.

Is it?

The photo was taken at standing height, or thereabouts. I suspect your perspective once you're actually IN the pool, would be different.

Isn't what you do in an infinity to fold your arms on the infinity end and gaze out? Just turn it by 90 degrees and you'd have the entire Welsh Ocean smile

This is one of the things I don't like about Hufs. People end up putting curtains in them for practicality, but they never look right.

I had a friend with a Hif a number of years ago, and it just wasn't a practical house for a family to live in. Open plan is over rated, IMO, and glass walls aren't really walls.

You can see the lifeboat station they did on Grand Designs from the garden, so that's cool!

Think it's been posted before as remember the discussion about the rather large drop down the cliff on one side.

I really like the house, the way it's been decorated/ dressed / furnished whatever does absolutely nothing for it though.

No idea who thought that dining table worked in there.

And the curtains?!

Seems to be set up to be used as a holiday home already which is a shame, but seems to be the way with lots of these stunning coastal properties.

This is something I don't understand about Huf Häuse but if you had a friend with one you may know. Does the glass have some form of switchable magic blackout capability? Else, there's not much privacy in that guest bedroom, or indeed, any of the other bedrooms. confused

It has been posted before.

I think the reason for the orientation of the pool is to make it South-facing. If they turned it towards the sea then it would be facing East, which is the wrong direction for those romantic Welsh sunsets...
