And I'm sure they will. Often the problem with looking at these things as normal people (most of us, anyway) is that we start to look at things in a binary way - noisy, polluted, crowded etc. If you're spending 14 million, you'll have something in the country, you'll have something abroad, this is a house in a city, and will be bought for that purpose, you don't need to compromise because you can have it all. FWIW it's probably pretty quiet, and not that polluted given its next to the heath.
Yeah it’s very quiet by London standards, one of my favourite roads in London. I’d have it in a heartbeat, but I get it’s not for everyone.

I’m looking at something a bit further out at the moment and trying to gauge how annoying I’ll find a low but consistent level of North Circular noise…

This is rather nice and clearly belongs to a keen petrolhead. Although the wires hanging from the wall-mounted TV make my teeth itch.

It's a bit further up the lane where my sister lives and I understand they may be considering making an offer.

Oh I’m on a roll today, another house from one of my favourite parts of the UK. Love this, poor cable management aside!

Very annoying. In peak times it will be a constant rumble, which is liveable, but evenings / nights and weekends it will be sirens, high revving motorbikes & barried cars, which is much worse.

This is local to me - https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/108470621#/

Plenty of land for a few more garages for the fleet.

People who live in London will pay incredible amounts to have a house that makes them feel like they don't live in London.
Whilst being in London so being able to commute to their highly paid job and having access to all the attractions (shops/restaurants/theatres/galleries etc)

It’s the combination that inflates the prices so

Christ, one example is bad enough. That leaves me totally cold.

I can't see how that is worth anything like the money being asked - location's poor too - between and estate and a garden centre/nursery, seemingly.

I agree that it's way overpriced. There is the housing to the south and also plans for another 32 houses to the east and 170+ in the field to the north behind the local pub.

Completely bizarre place to build a house like that, surrounded by a housing estate! Convenient for Asda and Dunelm though.

It was built before the housing and I believe he owns the land that ASDA was built on

Thanks for that. It’s about 500m from the road. I went by on Saturday morning and stood outside nearby, was a low hum when everything else was quiet. The sirens and revs in the night sound more annoying. This might make me a weirdo but I’ll drop by late at night and see if I can get a better view.

I've done similar things in the past, it's well worth doing

Just up the road from me (north Cumbria).

7 bedrooms, coachhouse, swimming pool, tennis court, orchard, the worlds largest Victorian greenhouse, walled landscaped gardens, plus 36 acres, all for 1.55 million.

Even up here, this seems cheap!

Is it prone to flooding? And does the price include the lawn mower?
