Anyone a keen gardener?

Reminds me of the Grand Design site from a month or two ago.

That would be just about perfect for me. Bit of internal updating and that could be lovely.
It is rather lovely.

Shame it's in the middle of nowhere. wink
Makes it all the more attractive biggrin
It always amazes me what you can buy further afield, I could sell my 3 bed semi in my village and buy a whopping house up there, and as I spend most of my time just milling around my house I'd get lost in the east wing.

I used to work for the company that made that carpet. It was a bugger to make it come off the loom and through the finishing processes straight, it must have been a nightmare fitting the damn stuff.

Not sure why the details include “ Please confirm if this is a freehold property with Rettie & Co”, or am I missing something?
I’ve noticed this popping up in a lot of Scottish ads recently, just assumed it was some sort of arsecovering disclaimer they’ve started putting in.

It's not just Scottish ads. I think it's just the standard Rightmove text if the agent doesn't specify it in the listing, not something sinister with the property itself.

Don't know if we've had this place.

Depending who you go through the cost of rental is anything from £9K up to £24K.

Per week

Most of it is stunning

The pool table would have to go from the garage, and I'd redecorate so it didn't feel like a cross between Ikea and the White Company inside, but there's a lot I like about this. Think of it as a blank canvas with a decent layout in a good location, and it makes a reasonable amount of sense.

I’m sure it’s done to a very high standard, but church conversions leave me literally and metaphorically cold. Too much open space, echoey and lacking in “homeliness”, for the want of a better word.

They managed to take pics on the one non dreich day of the year adding value? If it included the additional cottage still toppy, but it does feel like a bit of punt for a 3 bed. Alternatively buy this and have £1m spare if wanted to flatten and start again...

I like the pillar blocking the TV from the sofa. Wouldn't want to be sat in the middle.

I agree, that's a stunning place, and definitely one of the best church conversions I've seen.

The rest of the college behind appears to have been converted to flats. The park is public as well (or at least shared w/ the other residents) from what I can see.

Shared gardens, as opposed to public park, surely?

I like this one in Staffs, there’s a lot going on here. The gatehouse is fantastic.
