You seen to get quite alot for £75m

Never before have I considered needing an operations village, warehousing and stores as part of my property.

Let alone a suitable location to moore my super yacht.

Party town with a beach that's a whole less rubbish than Newquay (okay, minus the surfing)
Surfing but without too much of the Party Town atmosphere you say? Perhaps you need a blank slate project in Perranporth, with a double garage and walking distance from the surf. (Well, the tide goes out quite a way twice a day, but it's still walk-able.)

It's a nice spot for a flatten & rebuild job TBH. Lots of cash for a plot though!

Awful.

No proper roads, so no cars. They're going to have to drop the price a metric fkton for me to even consider it on that basis.

Who am I kidding? That's fking sublime.

Sadly I doubt you could get a super yacht near the island, due to shallow draft issues and moving sand banks.

You should be able to land the chopper somewhere, right? Then the yacht can be a few minutes away in the deeper water...

It would hardly be an inconvenience...

They say there's a deep draught Dock at the 'Operations' end of the island...

Very True, but one would have to ask the question.

If you have a yacht large enough to operate a chopper from, why on earth would you want an island as well and if you have both why would you want them located in the same part of the world?!

Agreed. A nice 50-80' sailing catamaran (which are typically very shallow draught) would be absolutely plenty to spend time out exploring. Bering can make the 'island tender' for me.

That's what I was thinking. Also I would say a seaplane is classed as an essential item out there, so put me down for a few of those as well.

Good shout. I'd be tempted to see what's happening in the modern world with ground effect planes too.

Iirc, there's a couple of modern 'mini-ekranoplan' type bits of kit?

Am puzzle - you'd be in one of the most naturally beautiful parts of the world and choose to fly at 15ft? hehe

That’s a lot of space, slightly awkwardly arranged… Can’t say I’m a fan of the outside, but if you need a lot of room (and rooms) then it’s got something going for it!

not knowing Stockport I can't comment on the area but that seems fantastic VFM. I actually like the looks from the outside - but I'd agree that the interior seems to defy attempts to arrange things in an orderly way (maybe ideal for a large multigenerational family)

Good example of how difficult it is to convert a church to a decent and useable level and create a nice family home due to an awkward form and layout. You’d have to spend a fair chunk to get rid of that gopping interior too.
