Flicked through the entire photo deck.

Not a single thing I'd change.

Perfection in every respect.
Maybe the location wouldn't suit me but the house is extremely well done and like you, I doubt I'd change anything inside or out.
My one fear is that things are getting increasingly toasty up in those Californian Forests...
It's okay, the garage is air conditioned cool

But yeah, for general fire risk if I could afford that property I'd spend a bit more on a haul-ass wildfire suppression system.

100 m from me.

If I had the money I'd buy this - it has a garage too (my biggest problem not having one currently)

Indeed. 1930’s ye olde worlde thatched cottage fakery meets 21st century blandness. Truly awful.

Yes there's quite heavy thatch above the pink bits and a the same where that brown orifice (ahem, window) is.

Cann't work out if there is car access, but what a location.

Free wifi for passers by, very generous!

Not sure if this one has been done already, but I’m liking this one a lot. Fab location, architecturally significant and extremely tastefully restored. I like the human scale of it too:

Yes, been on before, seem to recall that fence is a road to the neighbours garage and no access to the waterside were the negatives outside.

They are walking just past the window, too - the coast path extension comes down to the beach there.

Ahh ok, thanks, I did wonder why no feature was made of the lake.

There's no vehicular garaging by the look of it. Does one have to park way over in what looks like a car park to a tourist attraction and trek to the residence?

It does mention lapsed planning consent for a large 3 storey barn style garage and office. Quite where that would go though …

Exactly. As it is you have a lengthy walk down loads of steps with your weekly shop in the pouring rain! Might look all very nice but not at all functional. As a side issue, where did the mill race once go? Presumably under the mill but one would expect a mill to have some evidence of a stream yet there is none. All very odd to me.

Notwithstanding the various residential units involved £4.75m is a bit toppy even for Bishopthorpe, which is one of the nicer villages near York
