I wrote down 5 dishwashers after having searched online and the NEFF S511A50XIG was highly rated on John Lewis and at the more affordable end (£399).

Thanks!!
We've had a Neff S513K60X0G Integrated Dishwasher for a couple of years. It replaced one we'd had for 20yrs that was branded (but of course, being integrated you can't see the name) Hotpoint but was made by Bosch. We only replaced it as it had become very noisy on fill and drain - its wash was very quiet.

I wouldn't say the Neff is noiser, but it's somehow more noticeable - especially if it's not full, it's like there's a mad rainstorm going on. We just use the standard settings, not the eco or fast washes. It seems to wash the same whatever you do.

Ours should have been £600 but was on sale at JL with £200 off. We ordered it unseen and when it arrived I was a bit gobsmacked to find the interior of a nominally £600 machine is mainly plastic - I wonder if this accounts for the noise? There are reports of the plastic tubs leaking after a while. It was also way lighter and more flimsy than the old one, but I suppose everything has gone like that.

It has a 3rd drawer (at the top) for cutlery and that works well to keep the bottom drawer clear, but it does restrict the height - the middle drawer can be dropped but it then limits the bottom drawer height a bit.

Just about to start my refurbishment and the Neff n90 is looking like the way we will go.

Does anyone here have one of the Neff N90 compact oven combi microwaves? If so does it do the same as our Bosch combi which turns on the grill element during higher power microwave mode to dissipate steam? I suspect being the same parent brand that it might do the same but hopefully not as it's a stupid idea!

Just answered my own question looking through the Neff manual for the C17MS32H0B, does exactly the same as the Bosch rolleyes

At the highest settings in microwave only mode, the drying function will automatically switch on an additional heating element to heat the cooking compartment.
