That looks amazing, I'd definitely use the builders that fitted the floors, they worked it out in the end and overcame the issues, that is the kind of get done spirit that you need.

Amazing... willing to spent 300k on glass but couldn't be fked to pay someone decent to fit a floor properly... staggering. Well... either staggering or bullst

But just think of all the armchair experts you will be disappointing. Those who love nothing more than to point out the foolishness of others and revel in their misery. I was genuinely concerned about you wasting your floorboards gluing them to battens but I probably overreacted. It’ll bounce but probably won’t disintegrate. I wouldn’t have done it but if you’re happy with the result then that’s all that matters.
