Thinking about this as a partial split between bristolbaron & hitch's ideas above:

retain access to the front through the lounge but move the dividing wall back to increase the size of the lounge from 3.8 x 3.3 to 3.8 by 4.8

this leaves a TV/Snug off the main kitchen diner

the curveball i have added is to have the entrance at 45 degrees for better flow to the outside for the BBQ's parties etc. (plus i just like quirky designs :-) )

Not sure how the logistics of this will stack - will fine out soon

whadda ya reckon? :

Looks good if moving the wall is in budget. If you want to go really mad put a wall made of bifold doors between the lounge and diner then you can have a separate lounge and open plan cake and eat it!

I looked at various things for our build, there are movable wall systems, but they are more for commercial sites and I couldn't find a company that would do a domestic install despite saying they did on their Web sites. What we did like was a turn and slide glass panel system by Frameless Glass Curtains.
