May be hosting a garden meet up. In current temps. So what’s the best option for heating a gazebo outside in this weather. Propane? Electric? Will it actually make any difference?

Propane presumably best avoided in enclosed spaces...

How big a gazebo are we talking and is it relatively enclosed?

We have a 25ft x 25ft traditional canvas marquee and have hosted a few winter parties in Aberdeenshire. One Hogmanay we had a dinner party in kilts and cocktail dresses as the snow piled up outside so anything is possible if you put in enough heat! I'd forget electric, far too puny.

We originally used a propane workshop blow heater which worked well if a bit noisily. A smaller version of this should be ok in a typical gazebo I think. Watch you don't burn your legs or the tent though...

I then picked up a gas workshop heater made by a company called Bullfinch. It works without a fan so is much quieter unless you crank it up to full afterburner setting. It does adjust down to almost nothing and is great to stand around so might be worth a look if you can find an old one on ebay etc.

Helpful links, many thanks. Worked perfectly in these icy temps, on full blast I could've sat out there in shorts...

Glad you got something sorted. Out of interest what did you go for?

Great unit, the lower power rating was more than sufficient for service here in the South East.

A little noisy as you mentioned but a small price to pay for outside warmth!
