Bit of a dull update but latex layer on the floor is starting to go down, and as I left today the back door was being replaced, so I'll get a photo of that tomorrow

You learn something new everyday. Never before have I seen a bi-fold window.
Nor had I to be honest, but I couldn't help thinking it would work really well in that space, and bingo, there it is!

The glass isn't actually in yet as I'm having blinds set in the actual glass itself, so that's a few weeks off arriving.

Looking good! Plenty of work being done there, hope it's all coming in somewhere near schedule and budget!
Schedule not so sure, luckily we didn't really have one haha.

Budget, so far so good, no calls highlighting any disasters that need more cash, but to be fair the big internal work probably doesn't really start until next week.

Been looking at bifold windows myself - not sure where I’m going to put one but I’m loving the way they get used for indoor / outdoor bars!

That is very cool.....giving me ideas....thank you.

Excited to be seeing some real progress now:

We went round to clear all the junk that had piled up, always feels nice to clear things up:

The electrician then spent a couple of days doing the cabling for sockets and the kitchen lighting, and tidying up the horror show of wires/mess I had created:

TV sockets put in

It will look similar to this

Underfloor heating panels making good progress

Staircase gone

Bar area starting to be boarded up and taking shape

Looking good, you went with Wunda in the end for the UFH I see, just make absolutely sure there's no creaks, movement or hollowness in those panels before your contractor lays the screed on top! ??
Yeah, as you know I’m not doing any of it myself so hopefully I am covered if there are any issues.
I’m assured that the self leveller is going to mean nothing can go wrong, but after your nightmares I’m certainly on the lookout for the slightest issue.

Also, no screed going on top.....it’s underlay then laminate....

Seems most of the plaster in the corridor was loose so had to come off, so that's an extra cost to get it redone

Enjoying watching the renovation take shape. The location looks familiar...it's not New Malden is it? biggrin
Not sure if it's been slow progress or not! Felt slow at times then suddenly lots happens.

No, just outside Surbiton.
