Good Morning Folks

I have just moved into a new property and want to change the filter for my cooker hood.

I have been reading the cooker manual and it states that 3 types of filters can be used - Fleece Grease Filter, Metal Grease Filter and Active Filter.

Can someone kindly explain the difference between the 3 and the best one to install?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Active filter is charcoal for recirculating only, paper is disposable, metal ones are permanent / reusable you put in the dishwasher (in my experience)

If it's on an external wall it will be much better if you can vent it outside.

He’s right. We moved into a new build and the developer fitted a recirculating NEFF hood. They didn’t fit the correct filters, and were somewhat upset when we billed them the £400- for the correct filters. These get reset in the oven.

Hi

Thanks for your responses.

I'm not sure if it is on an external wall - how can I find out?

WTF???

Here's a clue - if the other side of the wall is the outside, it's an external wall.
