That's Bulb increasing their prices.
Now they are one of the most expensive.
Surely all this is just a Ponzi Scheme - lure initial adopters at the start and then ramp up the prices until people leave and it becomes unsustainable.
Close, re-brand and start again.

They lost something like £60m 2 years ago, 2019. You can only give away so many £50's and be the cheapest in a very competitive market before it hits the bottom line!

Not sure what their final aim is, 2 routes out are to either raise prices until the business is profitable and can return money to investors, or to build up a lot of customers and sell that customer base to a rival. It had been assumed they were going to try and do the latter, but maybe they believe it can be profitable as an independent business. One thing is for sure, and that's the venture capitalists putting in £10's of millions are not doing so out of the goodness of their heart!

So finally have an account with EDF. Apparently my tariff is Welcome GNE Variable v5 and it is cheaper than what I was paying with GNE.
I find this astounding as my GNE rates are already one of the lowest, if not the lowest in this thread.

However, I can't find any pricing information of this tariff anyway. I know there are a few posters here in the same boat (GNE > EDF), Any news from your end?

Same here, EDF have confirmed that they are supplying me already but no news on which tariff I will be on yet - Annoying as I cant do a comparison and look to move. When I did a quote from their own site as a new customer their priced worked out more expensive than what I was on.

GNE are still taking payments and my account is still working with them so taking screen shots each month for proof of the £300 credit that I currently have sitting there.

Need to take another meeting reading too as that seemed to update on the GNE system fine last time.

Looks like I just missed out as I had applied to GNE and a week later got the letter saying that they had failed and customers were transferred across, I never completed the application and so still with Igloo for electric. Once you know your unit rates please post up.

Just signed up for gas with So energy at 3.2p kW/h for another year which is rare as never had a decent renewal rate before with the same company.
Monthlies of £220 a month based on us using 73,000kW/h over the last year

Using that much gas it would pay hansomely to spend 5 minutes looking for a decent rate

If they said your electric was going up by 10% and your gas by 5% it probably wouldn't sound so inconsequential. hehe

PurePlanet 100% Green Variable at 16.611p per kWh (plus £8 per month “membership fee” in lieu of a normal standing charge). But I got the Moneysavingexpert Cheap Energy Club discount/cashback at the start of them providing my electricity and I’ve had £100 recently in referral bonuses.

EDF confirmed I'm on their GNE V1 tariff - prices locked until 30 September 2021 at least

Gas 2.869p kWh, 21.473p per day standing charge
Elec 14.309p kWh, 20.475p per day standing charge

Did a quick spreadsheet and it brought the GNE monthly average cost down from £80.83 to £79.77, so to be fair it was lower than GNE but only by £1.06... Also beats their own tariffs from their website.

No fees to leave which is good, could save about £4 a month if I switched to another provider on a 12 month fix so will consider that once its all finalized with EDF.

EDF via TopCashBack offering £165 to go on their 2 yr fix deal which would have brought it down to £71 per month av but only for 'new' customers so no good for me.

(Edit to change to kWh)

Sounds good, my GNE rates where about 10 times cheaper than yours so hopefully EDF would honour that.
Just noticed that you've posted KWH not kWH.

My GNE rates were £0.1324 per kWh for electricity (£0.1898 per day standing charge) and £0.0211 per kWh for gas (£0.2094 per day standing charge).

I've logged in and I'm at the next stage of the progress (Submit reading), however I still can't view any tariff details.
Strangely enough I only seem to be able to submit electric readings not gas...

edit: I've downloaded the app and it says I can't submit any readings yet. I guess I need to wait? confused

We're with Bulb who are about to put up their prices but this is what we're on at the moment, this doesn't include our gas bill which is even more horrific.

I've been updating my meter readings via the GNE website which is still active. I've put readings in today so will see if they appear in a few days

Cheers smile I didn't bother to update GNE since I've got the notice but may start updating again. Wouldn't want to be hit by massive bill.
I have the GNE iPhone app too and must say that is pretty useless.

edit: Gas meter doesn't display anything (just one long beep). Reported this to GNE in January but was told EDF would sort this. Submitted leccy reading to EDF though. Would've though the process would be quicker, it's been almost 3 months now...
