Anyone in the know with comments on Einhell tools?

I'm getting more and more into woodwork as well as general car/DIY jobs and need a solid cordless drill, circular saw and mitre/table saw.

Have seen Einhell with the 1 battery solution etc and wondered if the quality was any good? I'm novice DIY by all means but also a buy once kind of person.

TIA

Cant really help with drills etc. But they made my petrol lawnmower 6 years ago and it has gone for a 1.3 mile walk every Saturday during grass cutting season since I bought it. I have only blown the dust from the air filter in that time and last year it was working fine. I expect it to work fine this year as well.

Quality is good but I just don't think you can beat Makita LXT now...

I've got a cordless jigsaw that I've used a few times. It was about half the price of a comparable Dewalt version and the quality is certainly not half as bad so I'd say they're good value. I'd imagine their range will be absolutely fine for DIY use.

I got a multitool from tool station when they were offering free batteries. Needed it for a job at the time, and its a decent bit of kit. When it comes to tools I usually just go for something midrange if its only getting used occasionally, but always try to use good branded accessories.

I bought an Einhell angle grinder years ago, have used it a fair bit, and it's still going strong. Most of the stuff I've used on my house renovation has been cheaper stuff (e.g. Titan), and I can't fault any of it tbh.

I had a few different brand of tools. Used Erbauer which are great but they switched to NXT batteries which was a PITA. I started getting more gardening tools and picked up a load of Einhell/Ozito from a Homebase that was closing down.

Since then I've got loads of other Einhell stuff from muti-tools (brilliant bit of kit), strimmers, air compressor, jigsaws etc and they all work great, batteries last well and reasonably priced.

I guess it all comes down to what eco system you want to buy into. Oh and forgot that I also have their little lawnmower which is great for the small bit of grass I have at the front of the house.

I believe they make most of the green kit for Lidl, so are one level up from that hobby stuff. I have their angle grinder and combi drill, its flimsier than the named trade quality kit but does the job for a keen DIYer. I dropped the drill during the first lockdown and the handle snapped clean off. Only toolstation was still trading at the time so just bought another one less battery and its still going fine nearly a year later.

Got their strimmer with the multi use battery thing. Actually the battery gave up the ghost very quickly, though thankfully an amazon buy so it was replaced with charge.

Strimmer is good. Not massively powerful but good for grass/weeds etc.

Their power tools aren't as good as Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee etc. However, there's nothing cheaper than Einhell that's as good - top value for money.

Yeah I was looking at getting a DeWalt originally but saw the Einhell off the back of searching. Appreciate everyone's input

Looking to replace my dewalt kit.

The prices of the bigger brands have risen quite a lot recently. I get a budget from work for new kit - seriously thinking about trying einhell gear as I’d get more toys for the money.

Einhells mitre saw is currently on offer at toolstation, if the quality’s as good as posted above I might just need one!

I bought this a few weeks ago and I'm very happy with it. I decided I wanted the stand, and it can be found for £83-90 (Wickes and Amazon) but stock appears to be an issue. The places that have it in stock want £140.

I wanted a decent budget tool system for a house refurb and other odd jobs, I'm not pro so didn't want to spend on DeWalt/Milwaukee/Makita level.

I went with erbauer ext from Screwfix as they did a big kit for £500 which did most of what I needed. Been really happy with the tools great quality for the price however if I could go back I think I'd pick Einhell instead as they cost the same but the range of bare units is huge in comparison, you can buy also everything you can think of in Einhell power X change whereas the Erbauer I've committed to now is basic hand tools only.

Great find, especially with the slide. I'm gunna commit to their drill/driver and circular saw and see how it goes.

I got this a couple of years ago from Amazon. Cuts through things like butter. I added an extension to the fence which made it even more useful. Only word of warning: It is hard and time consuming to adjust and get accurate cuts, you have to be very careful using a square to get perfect cuts each time. If I had my time again, I’d buy a big brand one for twice the price as they should lock to 22.5/45/90 degrees much more reliably.

having read through a few reviews etc, it seems the Mitres are the only products that don't get great reviews. Similar comments to yourself

I have a few of their battery tools (drill, impact driver, angle grinder, reciprocating saw), it's definitely DIY quality, but above the budget ranges by the DIY stores. I think the mains powered stuff is probably much more rugged.

Some of mine are in fact "Ozito" which was on clearance from Homebase (it was a Bunnings brand I think), it's made by them and is compatible (within the same range).
