Those are the same photos used on the Omaze draw, probably too wet and not very sunny for nice photos now.https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/118807703#/...

so I get the impression Omaze are used to 'sell' houses with issues(?) to mugs like us who pay £10 for a raffle ticket then if we win stuck with a house that won't ever sell?!
Holiday rental....
Think the only one with actual issues was the flood house in the Cotswolds, wasn't it? But all the others are just high priced houses. Holiday rental....
More people around who wouldn't mind winning them, compared with people able to afford to buy them.
At the end of the day, even taking an absolutely massive hit on the market value of the house for a sale, you're still quids in if you win one.

Even if you win and plan to sell, you're having to pay council tax in the meantime. If you can't sell it due to flood risk, that's a lot of council tax to pay even at the unoccupied rate. No idea what the council tax would be on that property, but even at £200/month - could you afford it?
Punt it onto the next available property auction with no reserve, you'll not own it long enough for the council to twig on.KingNothing said:

No doubt lodging part of the case to sue Omaze lol.
The only winner in this is the bloke who built the property for next to nothing on the flood plain.

I don't understand this - if you've won the gaff and there are issues then why pop it on the market @ 2.5mil, why not pop it on @ 1.25mil (for example) which makes it attractive enough for someone to risk a punt?https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/118807703#/...
