My Avro final bill is now appearing on my Octopus account and the remaining credit (£145.94) has appeared too. They've reminded me to do a meter reading and my first direct debit is supposed to be going out to them on 3rd. Looks like it's finally all finished!

I left my Avro DD (as they said to at one point), haven't set a new one up yet as I understood they would transfer it over? I'm sure I added some meter readings at one point though, can't recall if they were on the Avro site or not though. The Octopus site just says that I haven't submitted readings yet, so it was likely on the Avro I suppose.

The gas and electric haven't stopped, so I'm not worrying about it. At some point they will ask for readings as per posters above and if they don't/can't transfer the DD across as originally suggested, then I'm sure they'll contact me to do that. So far I've done what they asked and given a set of meter readings from the date of Avro going under, so I'll take them at their word they will sort everything out.
Similar here.. left the Avro DD running. Have sent 3 sets of readings thus far to Octopus, 1 being the final Avro ones. Credit of £330 moved over last week to my Octopus account. Just need the DD sorting now I presume.

Just added the meter readings and most of that credit has been wiped out. Even though I gave a reading when they first asked and another at the start of November the bills generated today are dated from when they took over in September so cover two months worth of useage. At least I now know I'm up to date with them.

My previous account balance has been moved across, but they don't seem to have taken into account the latest DD or meter readings.

I'm sure it will all sort itself out.

My account also moved across, then I submitted a meter reading and it adjusted my balance to about minus £50 (not unexpected). Fist DD came out today too.

Just had an emailing confirming my avro account closed and my transfered credit of £202 has been added to my octopus account.

I logged in again today and after giving my latest meter readings I'm now £150 ish in debit. They've charged me for the 2 months this whole thing took. I know that would normally have been £250-300 for the 2 months but this was just over £400.

My initial thought was that this couldn't be right, but given the price increase from the Avro tariff I assume it is? I can't really check it - they've had various meter readings so I guess that's the way it is. I can't imagine how big our mid winter monthly bill will be this year.

I calculated the Octopus rate was 40% higher than my old Avro tariff so yours sounds comparable. Sorry!

Thanks. Was as I suspected but good to know. I'm going to increase my DD a bit at least so I don't get too far behind.

I've not have an email yet either, but these are my old and new figures:

I calculate the price increase a while ago. 42% increase for my figures.

Mine finalised yesterday, had the credit moved over plus the 2 months of my old DD. Just submitted readings so we will see if anything is left in the pot!

I also calculated 30-40% increase over my old rates (can't remember exactly, was a while ago!)

Has anyone ex-Avro had an Octopus DD taken yet? I cancelled the Avro DD when they went under, set up an Octopus one as soon as I could and they've taken nothing from me ever since.

A bit of working out the difference between my starting bill (taken when Avro went under) and my requested Octopus one at the start of last month later, and I reckon I owe them at least £150 from that, but as they haven't even given me a DD amount yet, that's only going to go one way.

I stuck £100 payment into the account today to at least try and prevent a huge first bill but I'm still expecting something IRO £300 or so coming in at the very least.

Yes. First payment taken yesterday. Doesn't it show in your account when the DD is due to be taken?

Nope, it still shows as "waiting for the administrators". The selected payment day was the 1st of the month, but nothing in Nov or Dec, hence the manual payment today, as I think it's getting a bit daft now!

I've had two now. 1st November and 1st December.
Last Avro payment was 1st September.

Hmm.. I guess I'll just keep topping up the account until they decide to pull their tentacles out!

Speaking of which - anyone else seen this? https://octopus.energy/blog/octopus-toys/

I've put a request in for one of the big ones, it'll be a conversation piece at least!

I also realise that by doing this, I waive all rights of complaint about how much gas & elec costs!

Got the first bill, still a bit left in the pot luckily. I've upped my old DD by 30% so I think this'll cover any nasty surprises (till the cap increases anyway...)

I didn't know about these, my dog would love it so I've applied for a big one, thanks!

Something very weird is going on with my account. I got an email confirming my account had moved over and that my credit balance was about £18, which wouldn't be a million miles away from what I expected. I've logged on today and it's showing a credit balance of nearly £240 and that's with me not making a payment in November either.
