Fused spur or worst case a plug with a nice low fuse
Put it in an enclosure (the screws are live!) and ensure the supply cable is secured inside and out so it can’t be pulled out
I think that comes with a DIN rail clip to let you mount it inside a CU.

More safe?scratchchin

Safe doesn't belong in the sentence. Comparing glow sticks and neon screwdrivers on safety grounds is akin to comparing stringfellow and Andrew Tate as to who is a more appropriate first date for your daughter.
disappointed with fluke with this, more intune with the american market providing juice no juce sticks for them. doesnt sit comfortable with me at all.

Fluke are doing nothing wrong (unless they're marketing it in a way that'd have the HSE tearing them one!), glowsticks have their uses, but proving a circuit is safe to work on isn't one of them!

Why can't I sell these on ebay? Cost £250 plus vat and not a sniff at £30. Guessing they are just rarely used?

LED Emergency Light Conversion kits btw. P.s price is for 4.
TBF it's not the kind of kit that people who buy it tend to shop on eBay. Any reg'd electrical contractor is obliged to have traceable QS, and there is a lot of snide/chinesium toss on the bay. I bought an obsolete MCB for a job that arrived looking like it'd been in his garden for 5 years.

Pic removed bc new member posting rule.

had a look through their documentation, Thing is it doesnt mention use as a prove dead device. but the literature gives impression. with the way its worded.

An electrician would be well aware of the limitations of this device, however the average joe not so much.

Good source for a compact, fully waterproof, on/off switch for outdoor ELV duty?

Only needs to be SPST and can be gel/silicon filled or the like but will live in the hedge bottom switching a robot lawnmower boundary wire between spring and summer zones.

The 'proper thing' is £40 and a huge black monstrosity so that's right out.

Yeah, saw that exact item, looks ok. Do you have an experience of using them? Else cheap enough to take a punt.

I need three.

A little tip when posting just a URL add a full stop before it and it will then be a clickable link smile

Yeah. Literally anything.

But if the link is the first thing in the post PH falls over.

It's not doing anything as it's just a termination point, so put it in a block connector or Wago and carry on.

ETA I've just noticed it's a metal faceplate so ensure that you earth it.

This is why whenever we buy a house, we get a full and thorough inspection done on the electrics .

The amount of appalling DIY bodges that have been uncovered over the years is quite alarming!

Thanks!

So in this one, where there are no less than five earths terminated in a wago, can i take any one these and connect to the earth on the switch?

Not quite, if there is a spare way in the Wago add a lead to the faceplate from it if not take an earth out of the Wago and put it in the faceplate along with another back to the Wago.

Looking tight in there George! I would take one of the earths out of the Wago, add it into a 3-way Wago, and then run two new earths off that (one back to the 5-way Wago and one to the switch faceplate).

But you might not get it all in!
