They look okay if that's your kind of thing.

Trouble is, any land without a fence around it, or any road without control on it, will be abused by all the wkers in the world.

So when young Callum or Connor and his fking horrible mates are playing football with their useless hard man wker of a dad on that piece of grass, you're fked!

Common land should be for sheep!

So yes, other than the obvious fking chav sports pitch in the middle - tip fking top!

Could also imagine plenty of additional parking being created on those low kerb areas (e.g. in front of that corner house on the left where it looks like tyre tracks already).

And also, the person on the other side has had their house obscured on request by Google (spin to the right). Could be one to watch!

Horrid. You just know there are already disputes about parking from the photos. There will be complaints about noise, too, no doubt. It just looks incredibly antiseptic and wholly unsuitable for real communities with young children.

Was thinking the same, they look quite smart with neat patches of grass but fast forward a few months and it'll be an overgrown mess, dotted with works vans and leased M4s and Velars.

Hard to see where the margin is on that at that price. Next door made £140k in late 2021.
I suppose if it's just smoke damage and nothing structural required there could be a decent margin in it if doing all the work yourself, probably not so if you're paying someone full labour rates.
After fees and equipment, would you make £20k profit? Seems easier just to get a job stacking shelves in Tesco.
It won't just be smoke damage. The fire brigade attended en masse; there will be significant water damage to contend with.

According to this https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/news/plymouth-new... somebody was injured, the ground floor was "completely destroyed" and the first floor badly damaged. It also looks like services were cut off in the street.

Apparently the fire started after the woman in question carried a tea light into a freshly-sprayed cloud of air freshener... https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/news/plymouth-new...

It really is hard to see where the value lies in this deal.

Did he ever look camper?

Actually, I've remembered his safari suit, so scratch that.

These across from me go for over a million. It’s a nice bit but the houses are very close together for that money.
My neighbour has a Georgian mansion with 6/7bedrooms and a further separate annex with 5 bedrooms that their daughter stays in. A 3 car garage and 55 acres stables for the horses and an Edwardian orchard for a lot less. And only 2 neighbours. Me in the offices/stables/mews and 1 other house built in the grounds.
New build in an estate behind a computer chip factory (and a golf course and nice hotel) or just across the river with loads of space

I was thinking the same, surely there would be huge amounts of damage to all of the timber. You're basically rebuilding it from a bare brick shell.

Imagine the reaction when they unpacked the trampoline and it wasn't the same colour as the picture on the advert.

We have a green and it was lovely when the kids played football on it. Then somebody complained and they put up horrible looking signs. Now very few play on it.

Always liked the background noise of happy kids playing to be honest.

Yeah, a Golf Ball smashing through your bedroom window at 50mph, whilst you're using the bed for either of its intended purposes. Definite nightmare indeed!

‘kin hell you lot are miserable.

They’ve gone a bit far with the extent of mono blocking but you’re going way further with the consequences of a bit of grass that kids can play on.

There’s similar monoblocked & pavement free areas in our new build estate, none of the promised play parks have materialised, thankfully none of the issues you’re predicting have either.

Only real issue is the Tiguanker set trying to use the speed tables as launch pads.

Chances are the pocket hankerchief-sized patches of grass to the frontages will be used for overspill parking and then get paved over, adding to the sterility of the hardsurfacing. And I’ll bet that in time some visitors will just park on the grassed central area

I think it’s good. Most estates I’ve seen are far far worse.
