I don't imagine that it is very cosy in the depths of a Scottish winter either.

Perfect as a summer cottage though.

fkadoodledoo! Someone's asking £400,000 for this place in Houghton Regis.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/123831098#/...

Houghton Regis is not a desirable area where someone with £400k would be looking for a place like this.

It's a carbuncle on the edge of Luton.

Also what's the point of the walkway through when there's easy rear access to the terrace?

Weirdly though it just goes through to the back where each house has rear gate access and garaging. - https://www.google.com/maps/@51.9102303,-0.5085351...

They are all over the place, I think they are the pedestrian paths, as there are no paths on the outside. Probably thought cool and architecturally clever but they just look like good places to be mugged.

Not the most extreme on here, but:

Mixed windows
Dodgy decor
Damp
Ramshackle outbuildings
Backs onto an industrial estate

Think it probably qualifies.
+350k!

Polystyrene ceiling tiles and cornice I haven't seen that since the 1970s.

My old house was like that, all the bedrooms has the lights in front of the windows, as did nextdoor. This was a victorian terrace.

There must have been a reason for this? I would be interested to know if there is one.

My understanding is that the lady's dressing table and mirror would be positioned in front of the window to get the best illumination, which would be supplemented or replaced by the overhead light when it was dull or dark outside.
