IDing floor tiles
Discussion
Recently moved into a new place, and there's a broken floor tile in the kitchen. Any ideas on how to ID the tiles? They were installed around 15 years ago, by the owners before last, so no chance of getting info from them!
Are there any companies which are good at this? Went to the locals, Topps Tiles, but couldn't see anything (long shot, I know!).
To me, the next step is to take the tile up, and see if there is any ID on the back of the tile, and then take it to local tilers to see if they can ID it...
Any other ideas? I'm in Oxfordshire if that helps

is there a tile hidden away under a unit or breakfast bar or in a corner where it can be hidden by a bin or something that you can use to replace the broken one with?
then put the unbroken one where the broken one was as a replacement. I did this recently for a customer. removing a single tile with out breaking it or chipping the ones around it along with getting the broken one out with out more damage is a bit of a black art but I can describe the process if you would like me to...

That was one of the options I considered, we actually have tiles down in the cupboard under the stairs that I could replace it with, but if you can tell me how to get a 450mm floor tile up in one piece, I'll be very grateful! then put the unbroken one where the broken one was as a replacement.
