Needs masses of work which the pics don't show, but it's a lot of (lovely) house for the money in a super little town.

Like a less pleasing version of Cotswold Stone.

Nice gaff, it’s £2m more than the next most expensive thing which is going some.
It's a proper stone built house built of proper stone. None of that Cotswold st which, IMO, is an abomination.

The stone built houses in this part of Yorkshire have character, have defied the elements for years and will likely last another 1000 years with a bit of care.

The ones in the Cotswold will all have been washed away by then, hopefully.

PS. I fking hate the Cotswolds.

I disagree. The pics do show it. smile

There's no central heating, for a start...

That could be lovely. Are trees protected if its Grade 2 listed? A lot of those would have to come down for me because it hasn't got a huge amount of land.

Tree preservation orders will be listed separately on the planning maps.

Not much to dislike there for me. Not sure the airstrip to the north is in use.

Presumably quite a lot of aircraft noise, given it's on the flight path to/from EMA.
On the plus side, handy for Donington Park....

Wisley airfield previously had PP for an industrial waste composting facility, but it was never built. The site was recently purchased by Taylor Wimpey Homes, so expect it to become a large housing estate soon.

Oh really? Grim.

No wonder they're flogging it.

Less than 2 miles to the A3 - possibly going to hear that when you try to enjoy your quiet evenings in the garden? Maybe not.

Think it's quite likely that Wisley airfield will end up with several hundred houses on it unfortunately. They've done a good job of making that house look like it sits on its own in the photos but it's actually quite close to the road and nearby houses. I'm sure it was on the market a few months back, they must have pulled it and relisted

I Like it. Price obviously reflects condition.
The real shame is the division of the courtyard and buildings to the east. There looks to be no boundary wall or fence. I'm an odd person so highly likely I would fall out with the neighbour.

It’s in a conservation area, so the trees are protected even if they’re not specifically subject to a TPO

We are too, but it seems relatively easy to get permission to fell, despite the need for approval to do any work on a limb thicker than Xmm. TPOs are more watertight.

Same legislation applies in both cases. However, IME local authority tree officers generally tend to be more relaxed where trees in CAs are concerned as opposed to ones with TPOs
