I love that!

Less than enamoured with the location though.

The regulars will roll their eyes at this but - lots of scope for an indoor climbing wall!
Have to agree with that.

Think I'd want to see details of how that cantilever is engineered though!

That's great, thought I recognised it from the TV.
Real pity about the railway, the only drawback.
I really must install a sauna in my study too...

Love the design of the house, cantilever, big garage, views over the gold course etc....

However the location on the main road AND on top of the railway line leave somewhat to be desired.
That is very nice, but a sauna in a office is a very odd design choice...

Looks like an electric, internet purchase, plug in job, so not a deal breaker, probably could be relocated somewhere else easily.

It's listed as a gym/sauna. They've just decided to use it as an office instead.

At the risk of being contrary -

Poor use of built footprint.

Little external aesthetic merit. Cantilever for the sake of cantilever.

Mish-mash finishes.

Despite not using the available footprint, they've gone into the loft. Where it will be hot and a great deal of what you see is unusable, due to reducing ceiling height.

The grass on the first floor will be difficult to keep green (supported by the photos) and will be an unused space.

The parapeted design of the garage will collect leaves.

Forgive the Guardian link, but all 5 houses are wonderful in one way or another. Although all 5 have shortcomings too!

Long story short; I want a house on the coast.

I have a house on the coast. It is great but there are definitely downsides...

I love the idea of a house on the coast but I don't think it would be so great when blowing a gale in winter.

I then think it would be lovely in the summer until everyone else heads there as soon as there is the slightest hint of sun...

A nice desres in Glasgows West End.

Compared to some of the prices on here, it's almost a bargain.

Nice property, not my taste of interior.

Personally I would have not bought the slide and purchased quality skirting boards and architraves, instead of council house ones.

What's the betting that slide never actually gets used?

It has cartoon prisoner stripey jumpsuit chique going for it. I think they would have made the grass black and white if they could. They were almost successful in continuing the strips out of the kitchen on to the grass.

Any chance you can start using the [img] tag instead of [pic] in future so we get thumbnails when quoting instead of multiple full size copies?
