Still not sold. Still don't understand why not. Wonderfully original and unmessed-with, great size, enough land, but not too much. Likely needs some spend, being knocking 200 yo, but worth it, surely? Is it the farm opposite?

That frontage looks like it should be symmetrical but someone only did one side.
Victorian addition?

Maybe you can't get in it. Says 'online viewing'. dunno if that means no physical views. Would explain the 110 (!) photos

It's an intriguing design. I quite like it, but then I tend to be drawn to the unusual.

Those 2 put that stty £10M barn thing in perspective.
I agree, however of course running costs impact on the value of the ones posted above. Christ knows how much you’d have to spend on them each year.
The first one (of the Cotswolds houses) is absolutely incredible as a house. Shame about the immense horsey infrastructure...
Indoor/outdoor go kart track. Sorted.
Given how much people spend horsing about, I imagine it does bring a decent income stream though?!

Slight aside, but casually searching for places in Dumfries and Galloway, and someone at Rightmove has filed a London property in the wrong place, because of the street name I suppose. Which has given rise to this rather stark juxtaposition in my search results...

The interior is a bit clinical for me, the idea of a turbine hall in a house is good though.

Yes the delightful fence along the lakeside is visible in pictures 1 and 4. Must have really pissed off the neighbours.

Other than being close to the Kremlin's #1 target during the Cold War, nothing alarming anymore.

St Catherines is more awkward location wise than the distances suggest -but that's more a symptom of how bloody awful it is to get into Bath nowadays.

So budget £12m and a driver!

Deffo one of the best properties posted on this thread in a long while.... Lovely combo of old classic and new contemporary, done with style and quality furnishings. No idea how they managed this on a Grade II listed property, but regardless the result is lovely. I don't know the area to say if £6M is too much, but I see it's been reduced from the initial £7M price and still for sale a year later, so.... It's also a tad on the large side at >8000sqf but if you have that much money to spend on a property I guess you dont want anything too modestly sized!
