From one of the pics if they don't mind fresh from the cow turn right out of the property and then pop into see the farmer...

Other than that it's nice, though barn needs sorting
Can't match pic 11 with the floorplan?
That's the sun lounge, which has no windows at all according to the floorplan.

My main concern with that property would be the compound of buildings at the far bottom end of your drive past your house which aren't mentioned anywhere in the particulars, so I assume aren't included in the sale. I think they're just stables as there's a manège adjacent, but the access to them involves driving around three sides of the house and through the middle of the rear courtyard.

Who could live in a house like this? Toseland or Baylis? Or has some just bought it as an ornament?

Anybody fancy a small piece of Derbyshire life? Looks to be relatively cheap compared with the usual stuff on here.

Derbyshire has always represented good value. Traditionally hampered by a lack of commutable areas with decent jobs but perhaps this will change now with WFH.
We live in the Peak District and quite a few folks commute to London. Manchester and Sheffield are easily reached too.

The house above is not far from the local quarries so not sure if that impacts the house or the price.

I'd never live anywhere near the A515 it's got to be up there with the highest road fatalities.

seems extraordinarily good value yes As an aside would that cracked stone in the fireplace be cause for concern?

You can have us all round for cars and coffee when you buy it! No shortage of space smile

Lovely part of the world, very jealous of you as well!

This ones really nice but i think some of the decor needs updating, specifically the bathrooms which are a bit odd.

Nice location too.

No, i'm struggling

It should be the back door/porch with the glazing and external door, according to the floor plan

Enlighten me

Bullst from the EA's description

The Pièce de résistance of Still Meadow is the opportunity to create a private helicopter pad at the end of the garden. (subject to the relevant consents).

£3m with 9 photos, only show one bedroom with water damage, is £3m cheap for that area?

Somewhere I could quite happily retire to:

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/123620225#/...

This is situated in a place with an interesting name:
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/112249235#/...

How about a fairly decent sized chunk of Derbyshire?
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/123893126#/...

Now with this one, I must confess, I know nothing about the area but the house really appeals to me. I like modern houses with lots of timber and masonry on show.

Awful listing, agreed. £3m is toppy for a project on that stretch but the frontline ones hardly ever come up. There’s a handful each year, row 2 & back up the estate or down towards the tennis club & wetlands & they’re regularly 2-2.5. Salcombe would be comparable just down the coast, price wise.

Nondescript looking place; the views/location must account for about £2.25m of the asking price smile

Dad's side of the family is from Thurlestone and I would chose it over Salcombe every day of the week. They're the kind of house that is passed on from generation to generation.

I really like it too, although you'd never actually want to go down to that part of the Coastal Plain, I think.
