I did wonder if it had popped up before. I like the house, it's just the acreage that puts me off.

Must appeal to a very limited market

I really like that one, not many modern houses appeal (for example the barn on the previous page) because most seem like they're a nod to what really good architects do without any real understanding of why, or what it is about modern architecture that works (using technology to enhance the inhabitant's experience) rather than what's fashionable (random shuttered concrete walls for instance).

That one on the other hand is right up my street, love the area, love the setting and love the house itself. As for 66 acres, if I'm able to afford the house, I'll find someone who can do something with the land once my wife and daughter have run out of horse accommodation.

This won't be everybody's cup of tea... I'm not sure it's mine but at £8million surely somebody here on PH will surely snap it up.

66 acres, 11 en suites, 22k square feet and an epic dining room view.

I really like this, but too big for what I want currently. Lovely house, garage, parking...
Four pubs nearby, local shops...

That is very nice. It would take my wife about a nanosecond to decide to buy it.

Can you get some sink/bath waste which also fills? As in water is pumped into the bath via the drain outlet.

The house itself is lovely but whoever decided to lay all that tarmac needs a slap.

They also asked the caravan enthusiasts to tarmac everything outside.

Nothing there that a few hundred thousand wouldn't sort out.

Lovely place. I can only dream. But yes.... its 8 million and you'll need another million for some decor. And another 30 quid for some step ladders so you can remove that little TV high above the fireplace while David Bowie (?) looks on.

It'll be a lot better even when they take out their furnoture.

Been on the market for a while that one. Belongs to one of the Palmer-Tomkinsons if memory serves.

But yeah, lovely place.

I must be on a completely different wavelength to a lot of you guys, because if no-one had mentioned the tarmac, I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

I suppose, on reflection, it's not as aesthetically appealing as gravel.

Quite a journey it's been on, price-wise, in that time.

I think they wanted black tarmac to match the black floors everywhere inside.
