Just a decoration issue. Quite like the courtyard. Some serious conifer removal needed in the garden

Prefer this in the area though https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/129594131#/...
"Lying in a courtyard development, comprising 4 properties in total, with a separately owned cottage linked on the rear."
"The house forms part of a courtyard where 3 farm buildings have also been converted to spectacular modern homes."
"...off-road parking to the rear, a single garage and gardens beyond that with extensive sea views"

Selective pictures by the EA and property type "Farm house" is a little naughty imho

Much nicer as it’s retained some of its traditional character, unlike the other place.

Ooh missed that. Okay my idle search for a nice property in an area that looks very nice but I don't know anything about and will be no good for work or family continues!

I prefer South Hams to East Devon really but for me this is near perfection apart from a new kitchen and bathroom.

It needs a devol kitchen, an equivalent bathroom, and nothing more. Lovely place, and Ottery isnt a bad location either.

In my opinion, this is a lovely house with beautiful gardens and a separate 3 bedroom detached house for your gardener.

I drive past this house on my way to work, it's in a lovely elevated position with great views and only ten mins into Harrogate.

Added to my very short list of places I'd rather live.

And to keep the gardeners on, too. Lovely surroundings.

I'm liking this today:

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/127423580#/...

Nothing particularly special, but a nice location and a really nice feel and flow to the place. If I had the money (of course), I would be all over this...

I'd use the space above the garage for the office - brilliant that it's got its own staircase.

It’s a nice spot, not far from the village, and becoming a common style for country new builds up here. You could quibble about the price, but someone will view it on a sunny spring day and snap it up.

Yep, ticks a lot of boxes, that place, and I can see the appeal. Inverness area isn't my bag though.

I'd have this in a heartbeat, however, or perhaps when I want to be a bit more out of the way than I currently am -

It’s lovely. Nice cosy feel to the interior despite the size of the place.

Staircase is nice but you effectively lose the ability to park 2 cars in your douoble garage as a result. I think the door size has been specced as a result as it's not really a double size hole.
But it's a nice spot and I'd imagine well insulated - you'd want that up there!

ETA second scottish place looks better to me although I'm not sure about 2 double beds in a room, it's not the US!

Has to be. The house is pretty characterless and very dated inside

Interestingly they gave that second bedroom its own bathroom and therefore required the stairs up to that Cinema Room to be in the garage.

Does it get cold up there? I see there's a microwave oven in the laundry - for defrosting your laundry liquid so you can pour it into the soap dispenser?
