If you own one of those vast piles which feature here I would imagine you would want to maintain some semblance of ones station when in carriage or at another locale and here is a what they call a "motor home": https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/formel...

It would be fun to roll into a sleepy Caravan Club site in the Cotswolds in that thing, and unfurl your dominance.

Well the price is little to do with the house and much more the lake and fishery.
Has to be. The house is pretty characterless and very dated inside
You'd demolish that and build something cool instead, right?

Thought I would look at Guernsey this week.
Good mate of mine lives over there in a very nice place.
Market over there is always strong especially on the open market.

Too much? smile

This is more my kind of house.

You say the market's strong, but that second one's been for sale for nearly three years.

First one has been for sale for ages as well. It's been posted in here more than once, but not for a good while.

You can keep the countryside and isolation and no traffic noise and no neighbours etc - plonk me down in this and I would be very happy.

Handy for pretty much everything you might ever want to do.

Diderot will remember me posting a stunning house in Bosham with 100 acres of ancient woodland having 800m of shore front...

The house is sold, and now they've put the woodland alone up for sale for over £2M!

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/132686255

Methinks they might struggle with that.

It's OK though, when I win the euro millions tonight I'll give them a shout and buy both house and woodland and be very happy.

I've posted the first one before and I think it's fabulous, the second is lovely as well until you see it's at the end of the airports runway so that's a no from me and my imaginary millions.

It’s houses like the Chelsea one there which I always think of whenever the salary to be ‘wealthy’ but comes up on PH.

Hilarious how much money you need to truly live in a wealthy part of London, literally light years higher than anything you could imagine.

True, maybe some of the high end stuff is sticking.

This back on the market in Lower Nidderdale. Advertised last year as a newly completed house, now dressed up to look lived in ? Nice spot but not really my cup of tea. Seems devoid of any soul.

Near some of my local cycling routes this one. Garage block could use some development, not a fan of stained glass in front doors, but aside from that I like it. Its modern enough without losing its features, although I suspect the heating bill might be a retained feature thats a bit sore at the moment.

10mins to pretty much the center point of the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh, around the same to a choice of 2 train stations on the Glasgow-Edinburgh line.
