If its good enough for a Rothschild, I'm sure I could cope.

Only negative is I would want the court yard as well.

It’s near us and has been on the market for ages. Lovely place - I visited it years ago when I worked for the local council and it was stunning inside and out. The adjacent stables/courtyard is now offices

Peak Oxford is very peaky indeed isn't it. Even the nondescript is well into 7 figures in that sector along Banbury and Woodstock Roads
It's also quite mad sometimes, which is part of the attraction. I mean, everything about this place below in Jericho is bonkers, including the price, but I bet they've hosted some great parties.

Somewhere in the dim recesses I have that as a Thai or Middle Eastern Restaurant maybe 25 years ago. Do I misremember?

Looks like it could be an old pub too. Never veered much off Walton St before in that area - should have done! Also should have bought a house round there 20 years ago

I think that's fabulous inside and out, although having said that I would be potentially put off by the business park and it seems the drive is shared with that park so I'm taking my £5.5 million elsewhere.

It's odd that even that kind of money doesn't get a perfect location in Yorkshire although the house and grounds get 10/10 from me.

I'll take the main stone built residence, My son and his girlfriend can have the other more modern property in readiness for my impending first grandchild and the third property can be rented out to provide some pocket money.....Or to fund the purchase of several 1980's era performance cars....

The 222 and the later Dauphines are amongst the most beautiful flying machines ever produced, in my humble opinion.

Alternatively, I'd have a striped Hughes 500 to go with my Fezza 308 and prodigious moustache.

Well the price is little to do with the house and much more the lake and fishery.
Has to be. The house is pretty characterless and very dated inside
You'd demolish that and build something cool instead, right?
Given it has 30 acres and out buildings why o why is it a semi !!!

Looking at the age/architecture I’d guess they were originally built as quarry workers’ houses (and have been extended since)

This is in my neck of the woods and unless I’m missing something presents something of a bargain I’d say!

Nice area perhaps a bit busy now in the summer but a great pub to make up for that.

It’s very elegant. And seems like an absolute bargain compared to a lot of the stuff posted on here.

That's bloody lovely.

Exactly the sort of thing I want as my 'semi retirement' home - easy division for a B&B wing for some semi-passive income, and loads of gardens/veg/workshops to spend my days pottering.

Does look a cheeky bargain, and can’t see the usual chicken-barn-over-the-fence reason for it. Very nice.

Loving this at the moment - really nice balance of old and new.

Convert the poolhouse into my home office/hobby room with workshop next door. Rear garden into proper veg patch.

Done.
