Quite impressive how the interior is totally devoid of any redeeming features whatsoever.

That couldn't even give you a decent semi...no room!

This has been in news re it's tiny "but only £50k", either way wrong thread.

The exterior leaves me stone cold as well, if I'm honest.

My first thought on seeing the exterior was 'Is it a sponge or fruit based wedding cake?' biglaugh

There was a programme on TV last week, C5 I think, called mega mansions, about this prize knobber of an estate agent who sells properties like this, him and his brother went and valued this, to me they were utter bell ends, the sort that don’t wear socks, lol. I’d bet my house he had been on the apprentice at some point.

Couple of current faves:

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/119796221#/...

Weird to have 5acres+ & be so overlooked but I guess the problem with a barn conversion is a high chance you're either in a) the middle of nowhere, or b) the middle of a farmyard.

Would need to separate the kitchen/diner from the sitting room somehow, as I like to keep me, my cooking & my music separate from Mrs F, her books & the TV

I'd have it as a first home.... if I could find somewhere for the kids to live... and something to pay the bills with.

Gorgeous location.

We hope to move up to the highlands in a few years building one like this is certainly an option.

So I think I put this on here when it was on the market a couple of years back

https://www.onthemarket.com/details/7595760/

Local to me, a lovely William and Mary house, family owned for many decades it was a little run down but nothing too major, came with various other buildings and a fair amount of land.
Sold after the death of the owner in 2019 for £3.2m I seem to recall.

This was Saturday

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-60...

Driving home from work yesterday, the roof has now completely fallen in and I think that the second floor has gone too, fairly sure i could see the remains of the roof through the ground floor windows.

I hope it's insured and is rebuilt, but alas it's pawn no more :-(

Build a nice external garage and sort the horrendous interior and it’s the dream home for me.

The exterior and location is amazing

Would need to do something about that caravan park to the north, and whatever those buildings are to the south.

So I guess that would cost the same as the asking price.

Still would though!
