The usual answer to this is to call a beekeeper who will take then away and add them to his stock somewhere else.

As for the '3 feet' rule, which could be true, that may not mean you can move them 3 feet every day... their GPS might get flummoxed.

They're a tiny group of non-honey bees so no beekeepers are going to be bothered about them. Can probably move them a foot every couple of days, if they struggle with that then no wonder they're going extinct.

Moving them will be unsuccessful, as mentioned previously. Its not a nice neat bee hive it will be a nest in the ground, buff tailed bumblebees aren't going extinct, doesn't mean moving a nest is a good idea though

Beekeeper here - agree that local beekeepers are unlikely to be interested as these are some kind of bumble. And the nest will be abandoned by about July, and best strategy is to leave it where it is with an upturned bucket or plant pot over it ensuring there is a gap for them to get in and out.
