Have you turned your heating off yet?
Discussion
Our heating has been on for an hour in the morning to take the initial chill off.
The rest of the day it's not needed and it's been 20 degs. throughout the flat.
We've not needed it in the evenings.
We're in the North West, outdoor temps have hovered around 6 - 10 the past two weeks along with a couple of morning frosts.

There is some curiously pretzeled thinking here - including my own….
If you think that 20c is the “right” indoors temperature then surely that holds true regardless of whether it is 12c outside or 20c? That is to say that the outdoors temperature shouldn’t be relevant in deciding whether your heating is on- or off-.
Otherwise you are basically deciding that it’s ok to be colder indoors during the “shoulder months” than it is during the winter.
Those who say they just leave the thermostat to do its thing have the only logically defensible position.

This is an old, cold house. It doesn't heat up very much and doesn't retain its heat either. Sometimes it's freezing cold inside when it's baking hot outside. With outside temperatures dipping down to single digits, it's pretty cold, so the heating is on. Unfortunately, the upstairs circuit has had a fault for the past week so bedrooms have been freezing, but the plumber has just been and sorted it. It'll be a decent night and a nice warm morning!
