Just as update, emailed a few companies who couldn’t help but did recommend someone.

New pump and control panel installed today which will hopefully solve part of our issue

However when they emptied the water treatment tank it was refilling from the outlet. So we’re going to have to have a new outlet installed to the stream
Just note you need an EA consent to discharge (it’s not expensive) if you don’t already have one. And you will need to put an inspection chamber after the treatment plant to allow for random testing if ever needed.

One thing - also check that no rain or surface water discharge into the system. If you have tricky soil conditions, some cowboys will just plumb it all in. It overwhelms soakaways with solids/sludge/too much water (which may have happened here - the original septic tank and also the treatment plant need time to aerate and allow bacteria to breakdown the waste) and if you connect into the stream with this occurring, you will get your pants pulled down and massive fines if the EA ever found out due to pollution.

We’ve got all the original permits to output into the stream which is good!

Such a pain though
