I used to know very well the family that own RH. Every time we went out for a meal with them they'd examine the table table cloths and more often than not would say: 'yep, one of ours' lol
I'm very cynical how "trade" some of these "suppliers to the trade" retailers actually are.

That one little anecdote has pretty much given me my answer thumbup

I've never been in a hotel and used a bad towel and I'm guessing they pay peanuts for theirs.

But where from?
TK Maxx?! biggrin

These are awfully cheap, or am I confusing the price they showing the shop with something else? Otherwise I'm going to load up.

Cheap for what? They’re about the same price for bath mats as the supplier I bought from.

Pillow cases, pillows have caught my attention.
I was not aware of the bath mat prices, but now that I've seen them, adding these to the basket.
My original pricing of these items would be based on Amazon, M&S/ JL or Costco. RH seems a lot cheaper, which is nice.

Good quality towels are never cheap. A lot of cotton is required.

You could always buy them from the hotel chain themselves. Might be a bit spendy though.

They rent them, from places like Elis.

I had a tour once, they even have a special area for the top class five star hotels stuff and they’re delivered folded to specifications.

They don’t wash them like you either, its either steam or a chemical process.
Yup. When those little notes ask you to reuse the towels to save the environment what they really mean is to save them paying away some of your money that you've paid them to the towel company. Kiss my freshly dried arse Rocko!

Nope. Prefer the boggo hotel style cotton that absorbs in an instant. And after a few years in service get rewarded with retirement to the garage where they serve their final years mopping up oil, paint, grout and sometimes blood. biggrin

Is that why hotel towels all smell the same the world over?

Me too, give me a nice rough line dried towel every time - gives a nice satisfying exfoliation and dries you properly. The only thing I don't like are towels that are too small!

Asda bath towels for me.. hotel towels or those overloaded with fabric conditioner seem to slide over rather than soak in any water. Yuk.

I'd have expected PHers to be using body dryers.
