Has PH really got to a level where a normal, albeit not very exciting, thread has to be reduced to this sort of level?? I mean what has it added to the conversation?? If you get your kicks by posting lurid st like the above there are '000's of other threads in here that would be more suited, but surely every single thread doesn't need to go in the same direction does it??matc said:

You should be ashamed.

+1 on the Bosch, we have one, and it does a grand job. Miele if your parents have no limit budget.
-1 for the Bosch.Mine has failed to drain. 2 yrs and 3 months old. £139 to fix, or £79.10 call out and then "we'll see what it is"
Customer service is awful, and one guy actually said "they aren't built to last anymore"
Miele can be bought for £600, and that includes a 5 year guarantee.
This is significantly less that a Bosch and additional 3 years of maintenance (which i never bought!!!)
"Invented for life" my arse

I've recently purchased a Miele free-standing dishwasher - classy bit of kit which wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be - 350 quid including delivery.http://www.laskys.com/kitchen_and_home/laundry_and...
Looks like it's gone up 25 quid since I bought one last month.
For Badgerboy - yep, when me & missus set up home we had an 8 place Zanussi: worked fine, coped with everything, any parties, well just do two loads! But this was a while back, subsequent Zanussi's were sh!t...Bosch was fine, on to a built in Hotpoint at the mo, working fine, touch tree based products...

Has anyone had any experience with slimline dishwashers at all? I'm not thinking tabletop, but the type that are slim in width? My utter dislike for manual washing up since I moved house has been rising steadily as I have no room for a standard dishwasher in my current kitchen.
Had one for a while - Zanoooosi - was ok, but if you've got the space, get a full sized one, they're all about the same price.Mojocvh said:
check and clean out spray arms/ bottom filters, you'd be AMAZED at the st that gets in there!
Oh (and I'm not saying this is valid for OP's parents) IT'S NOT A GARBAGE DISPOSER EITHER
Seen ALL SORTS inside these machines!!
Took my spray arm out the other day and it was filled with bits of plastic bagOh (and I'm not saying this is valid for OP's parents) IT'S NOT A GARBAGE DISPOSER EITHER
Seen ALL SORTS inside these machines!!
The women of the house seem to think that white goods are magic especially as I am the only one that drains the condenser tumble dryer, gets pound coins out of the washing machine drum, changes the hoover bag and sorts the filters on everything.
