One double bed and a bean bag plus a couple of plastic boxes will be fine

I have a dead cat...

Comes up lovely and fluffy in a tumble dryer...
A woman I work with killed her cat by accidentally trapping it in the washing machine for a full wash cycle - it had used the clothes in there as a nice comfy bed, and she didnt notice before she turned it on.
Well, the moggie won't do that again...

Something good always comes out of such tragedies...

There will be an online group known as Freecycle in your area.

Basically its people giving stuff away thats still good to use (typically).

Have a search in google, the one I'm on gets a few hundred posts a day so there's plenty of stuff going around.

Need a surround sound system? I have a Harman Kardon 5.1 amp / dvd setup that I'm no longer using, and can't be bothered witht he extreme hassle of ebaying. Originally the 2 boxes were 600 quid for the amp and 400 for the dvd, but I know i'll only get derisory offers - I'd take 300 quid delivered for the pair.

Graham
sounds good but guess i really need the essentials first smile

What house did you end up with? I remember the original thread about you buying a house smile
Yes seems a long time ago now!

Bought a nice 4 bed (with a friend!) on a new estate in Daventry. Going so well so far. Love it and so proud.

Was around 50k less than 6mths ago so feel we have got a good bargain smile

I was just trying to work out wether you were decorating it with colours that go together, or with whatever was nearest in B+Q =) If it's a blokes pad, reemmber to make room for extra fridges, and plumb in double the electric sockets for near the telly, to compensate for gaming / gadgtery...

I may have to clear out my mother's house soon - there's a fridge, freezer and washing machine all in decent order that will have to go somewhere. All Hotpoint.

yes So true & if you give them some money they can find some rather nice objects to use once and leave around the kitchen.
