They were in the original part, bits had been added on over the years upto Georgian times. Beautiful looking (you can buy postcards of it) but freezing etc to live in.i think my house is a 1920's. Semi detached and quite frankly it is a ball ache.
I cannot do diy to save my life, but I have muddled through and got others to do replastering, install central heating, windows, redecorating, landscaping but it wasn't worth the hassle IMHO.
It is still cold, draughty, i just don't like it.
What I am trying to say it just doesn't feel set up for modern living, with two young kids....oh i can't be arsed to write any more suffice to say we are moving and if I had my way it would be a new build somewhere.
