My house currently has about 5 old TV aerials on the roof with cables running everywhere. I want to replace if possible by 1 aerial which splits into 2 or 3 rooms.

Firstly is it possible to get good reception from one aerial feeding 3 TVs and also should i bring a single cable from the aerial into the loft and split there or run sepertate cables from the aerial

Thanks

Perfectly possible to run 3 tellies off one aerial.

Buy aerial and masthead amplifier then run that amplified signal into a splitter feeding each room.

Don't be tempted to use cheap coaxial cable. I personally like to see the amplifier mounted inside the loft (in the dry) and powered through one of the coaxial drop cables by a DC/240VAC mains transformer located downstairs (the transformer will most likely be supplied with a power inserter). Depending on the layout of your house, you are sometimes better off using a coaxial RF splitter to convert one drop cable into two outputs. Don't forget that you will lose around 3.5dB (over half) of your signal level each time you split the signal. If I were you, I would contact a CAI approved installer and get the job done right! http://www.cai.org.uk/
