Afternoon all,

I need a bit of very simple DIY advice, I've a small wall that's been plastered with what seems to be a cement/concrete type outdoor plaster type stuff. It must be slightly pourous as every year when it freezes all the bloody paint peels and cracks off, so I'm assuming there must be some moisture in there (or maybe I've been using the wrong paint).

Just wondering what I should be treating it with?

I think I tried pva before the paint last year, but I may have got the water to pva ratios wrong... Also I'm guessing I should be doing it after a few days of hot and dry weater so its properly dry?

I've also been using standard outdoor paint from B&Q, is there anything better?

Thanks in advance!

Probably a breathable masonry paint that allows moisture to get out.

you can pickup a sealer, they sell it in B&Q and its called a stabilising solution, then pick up some decent masonary paint!! should be sorted then, make sure u scrape all the loose/ flaking paint off aswell!!
