Looks great mate, thats gonna be a very happy baby when it sees that room, don't count on 2 weeks though, ours was due on the 29th but decided to show up at 23:16 on the 16th! Why else would I be replying at 4am!

Just laying in bed now with a little sleeping baby on my chest typing this, why oh why will he only sleep on me!!!
It's been the best 24 hours of my life so far, you will love every minute of it.

Good luck.

Paul

cheers guys, it was just a quick job over a few nights, start at about 9, fin around 11/12ish

not the most best job ive done in the world, but its in my house, for a newborn lol! i dnt think he's going to be to bothered about my cutting in!!

if it was private i would have taken some more care, but this was just a quickie!!

as for coming early, we had a scare last week, 36/37weeks and we thought things were happening, hence why i got spurred on to decorate it!!

sorta spured me on to do things, i've bought a new hoover as our dyson was kaput! so now im constantly cleaning smile

ended up flooding the bathroom and kitchen out yesterday by trying to refit the outside tap!
(small 2bed welsh longhouse, all on one floor)

im just trying to get everything done before he comes!!

i think everyone rushs to get the nursery done and then you don't use it for the first few months as the little stays inyour bedroom.

lmao, nope, we dont own a flatscreen!

we have a sharp 32 inch old big tele thing, does the job! with us been young parents(20) and having to run our own home, with rent, bills etc, theres 1.no spare cash for plasma and 2.we are to busy working, tidying, eating, sleeping etc, to bother with watching it that much!!

hopefully says summat for these council estate parents who are on the dole and have all the nice luxuries! i tell u one thing, we may be young but we are definatly not your run of the mill young parents lol!

You need to get her to pop another 15 or so out then look forward to the Mercedes people carrier and more plasma screens than you can shake a stick at!

When they start licking the TV screen & god knows what else the appeal of spending thousands on a big TV that would be in reach of them soon disappears. I will not be watching the world cup in HD this year wink Nice job on the room, for some reason we decided not to bother until we got home with the baby, pair of idiots! TV will ceratinly be a thing of the past for you, i still have a text on my phone from my wife a week before our daughter was born exclaiming she was "bored". I haven't heard her say that for 2.5 years now smile Enjoy yourselves smile

Looks great, cant believe it was nearly 21 years ago that we did pretty much the same thing for our 1st one, just goes to show classic Disney never dates. Enjoy the little one while they are young, my second (and loudest)one is off to uni this September, so things will be a lot "calmer" at home, however baby number one is back for a year in May on a years placement at a special needs school.

Have fun and get all the sleep you can NOW

ps dont ask the other half if she is ok during labour, you may be shocked by the venom in the reply

haha, some good comments there! indeed the state seems to push you into having 15more kids, i went to the jobcentre to hand in some forms for a maternity grant, and my o/h income support while she aint working, and we aint entitled to a bean! to say i was fuming would be an understatement!!

apparntly we cant claim anything as i am bothering to work over 24hours a week, and we are a couple

whereas if i dropped my hours in work, bopped a few more kiddies out with the o/h then fked her off for some other bird, we would be made!!

no wonder these council estate types are all on the dole, they are actually the clever fkers!!

goes to show the government set up atm makes the rich people richer and the poor people poorer!!
...............................

as for the age old theme of disney, its good to see that it dosent age, and im sure ill be encourageing my kid to watch all of them, i actually went out and bought the aristcats on dvd the other day! classic!!

You should get working tax credits and a statutory maternity pay at around £112 a week

...and remember to take full advantage of the tea & toast that the midwife will bring you after the event. Your other half won't be up to eating it but you need to keep your strength up...

biggrin

If you value your testes, do not even think about following this advice!)
