I'd like to cover over a large area at the side of the house (not habitable, open sides) but as it has a triangular shape it will involve lots of cutting.
Are there any shortcuts ? Can I use and angle grinder ? Is corrugated plastic the best stuff to use ?
Thanks in advance

Angle grinder is a grinder, not a cutter; it will burn and melt plastic. I might try a jigsaw.

OTOH, I've used an angle grinder (with a metal cutting disc) on twinwall polycarbonate and it works very well. Much easier to do straight lines with than a jigsaw. (Also very good on GRP, ask any kitcar builder smile)

If it's thin stuff I would definately use the grinder, as the jigsaw will tend to catch and possibly break bits off.

classic!!

Actually you're both right, a grinder will melt the plastic, but it will do a fine job of cutting it and the melted burr will just pull off!

A Jigsaw will also do the job with a nice fine blade.

I used an old bread knife when I did mine.

Heat the knife up with a blowlamp and it will cut through like butter..well, almost!

Use a thin diamond tipped stone cutter disc. Also the best thing to use when forming shapes in foam for car seats
